Guidelines for Temporary Visitors to the Philippines

Danish, Icelandic, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian nationals who are travelling to the Philippines for short-term business and tourism purposes are allowed to enter the Philippines without visa for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they hold valid tickets for their return journey to port of origin or next port of destination and their passports valid for a period of at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay.

Important Note: Nationals that are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of thirty (30) days or less and holders of emergency passports or travel documents issued by their countries does NOT need to apply for a visa.

Nationals from the following countries are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of thirty (30) days or less:

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding fiftynine (59) days:
• Holders of Brazil passports
• Holders of Israel passports

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding seven (7) days:
• Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR) passports
• Holders of British National Overseas (BNO) passports
• Holders of Portuguese Passports issued in Macao
• Holders of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports

Important Note: Nationals who are subjects of deportation/blacklist orders of the Department and the Bureau of Immigration shall not be admitted to the Philippines.

For Nationals Who Do Not Fall Under the Temporary Visitors List

They are required to apply for a visa to be processed from the country of their point of origin or the nearest Philippine consulate/embassy.

A temporary visitor visa is available to foreign nationals who are traveling to the Philippines for these common purposes:
1. Pleasure – for holiday or leisurely stay
2. Business – may be of commercial, industrial/professional character but must be temporary in nature e.g. those who are attending international conferences, here to negotiate contracts and attend business meetings (so, there's no need to apply for a specific business visa)
3. Health – provided not contagious, loathsome and/or dangerous diseases

For Nationals Who Can Enter Philippines Without Visa For A Stay Not Exceeding Seven (7) Days

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding seven (7) days:
1. Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR) passports
2. Holders of British National Overseas (BNO) passports
3. Holders of Portuguese Passports issued in Macao
4. Holders of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports
